This policy explains what personal data TOKYOwebzine (tokyo.webzine.world) collects, why we collect it and what rights you have. TOKYOwebzine is published by NOOR&NOOR SARL, which is responsible for your data. You can reach us at office@noornoor.biz.
What we collect
- Comments. If you leave a comment, we store your name, email address, optional website, the comment itself, your IP address and your browser details, which helps us detect spam. If you tick the box, your name, email address and website are saved in a cookie so you do not have to type them again.
- Gravatar. An anonymised string (a hash) made from your email address may be sent to Gravatar, a service of Automattic, to check whether you have a profile picture. Their policy is at automattic.com/privacy.
- Messages to us. If you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we keep what you send and use it only to answer you.
- Server logs. Like every website, our servers record technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser type. We use it for security and to keep the site running.
- Statistics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are read and from which country. It sets cookies, described in our Cookie Policy.
We do not sell personal data.
Why we use it
- Legitimate interest: running and securing the site, preventing spam and abuse, understanding how the site is used.
- Consent: storing your details in a cookie for comments, and any optional cookies.
- Your request: answering a message, or a question about advertising.
- Legal obligations: where the law requires us to keep or disclose data.
Who receives it
Only the people and providers who need it to run the site: our hosting provider, providers of content delivery and security, the spam filter and Gravatar for comments, and Google for statistics. They process data for us or under their own privacy policies.
Transfers outside your country
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area or your own country. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Comments stay until they are deleted or you ask us to remove them. Server logs are kept for a limited period. Messages are kept as long as needed to deal with them. Statistics are kept according to the settings of the analytics provider.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time. Write to office@noornoor.biz and we will answer. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority of your country.
Children
TOKYOwebzine is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
